were masks really worn so commonly in 1918 Spanish Flu? The cameras couldn't detect shades or hughs of white back then and looking through most info about this I see only recent posts about the topic. Nothing older than 4/2/20. the pictures all seem to show starker white masks than what the picture should have or has in other areas on the photo
