Just a thought on the Lori Kay Klausutis case in Notables couple breads ago.

I'm no forensic expert, but I have first hand knowledge about skull strength.

Long story short, and not a nice one:

Anon had a work accident right out of high school. The accident was caused by the power scaffold operator.

For those that don't know, a power scaffold is scaffolding that has an engine that moves the platform up or down. It's common heavy machinery, and there are safety mechanisms and protocols you need to apply to make the equipment safe.

Unnamed operator skipped a crucial step. One of the safety mechanisms, Anon was told it was a 'brake', was not properly engaged.

Unexpectedly, half the platform dropped a few feet and jolted, sending everyone on the platform flying. Kinda like flinging peas at your little brother with a spoon, or a diving board.

Everyone landed back on the platform and secured themselves except Anon.

The height was set at 33 feet, and below was nothing but broken cinder blocks (debris from wall construction/repair)

Hardhat flew off immediately, flew 33 feet plus however high Anon flew upwards prior to descent.

Anon landed on his head and back, bounced, flipped, landed on chest/stomach. Hard hat landed nearby post-impact.

Yes, directly onto broken cinder blocks/bricks.

Fractured spine, Fractured sternum (chest plate)

7 inch giant L-shaped gash on the back of the head that was literally spraying blood (like you see in the samurai movies when someone gets their limbs cut off) all over. You could see the skull plain as day.

Anon never lost consciousness. NEVER for a second.

Lost his breath and got it back, spine felt like jelly-

Mother fucker lit a cigarette and started eating his lunch waiting for the helicopter to medivac out.

Anon was making jokes with the female medics on the helicopter ride.

They stitched and stapled him up (there were several pretty deep gashes to repair), got him through rehab, and he's doing pretty ok these days.

The point is, they say he was falling an estimated 32mph when he hit the ground. Landed directly on his head, split it open so bad the breeze was blowing the skin flap around.

NO FRACTURED SKULL. Not one little fracture.

ONLY A MINOR CONCUSSION. Fully awake and talking.

Not sure how the hell I survived, or that how it made any sense that I didn't lose half my brain that day.

I was in shock for sure, eating that bloody ass sandwich at 8:30 in the morning KEK, kept getting mad that my cigarette kept going out cuz of the blood spraying from my head til my coworker wrapped a shirt around it. But I never passed out. I actually was the only one with a working cell phone, so I called 911 myself.

The skull can take a hell of a lot of damage in [apparently perfect] certain circumstances, and anyone that wants to say a 7" crack in the skull can be caused by a fall from the standing position onto a desk is fucking out of their mind.

I'm living proof.

Not saying every human is built the same, but it's evidence for sure.

Happy Memorial Day

Thank you to all that have sacrificed so we can all be alive to fight in this ever-important silent war we're in.

This world would be forfeit without you.
