Point being police aren't just your neighborhood cop performing law enforcement duties anymore.
They were supplied with tons of surplus military equipment.
It's called the Militarization of Police.
This includes the use of armored personnel carriers, assault rifles, submachine guns, flashbang grenades, grenade launchers, sniper rifles, and fully-equipped Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams.
Ban assault weapons for civilians, give military equipment to the police.
You can quibble with semantics all you want, but the police ARE military now , and Dem Mayors and Governors are itching to use it, and it's not not going to end well when people try to take their country back.
