BCG is a "good" vaccine, which is exactly why it is NOT used in the USA. As I understand it, this vaccine is one of the oldest. It is a single organism (not combo 3 or more like many today) and as I recall is used to prevent TB, as it is a mild form (like vaccinia used to prevent small pox). I don't know if the.BCG bacteria needs to.be injected to be helpful, but in older adults with diabetes a BCG vaccine can help defeat the autoimmunity leading to Type 1 diabetes, leading to.less insulin need. If a bacterial vaccine prevents "COVID-19" some.folks need to.be arrested for serious scientific fraud, imo. Sorry for typos

I disagree. Like all vaccines it is an immunotherapy. It does provide some apparent protection from TB depending upon location. However, it is used against bladder cancer and has been tested against Type 1 diabetes. Main reason for not using in the US: Maybe because gives false positives on Mantoux (poisonous?) test, prevents cases of diabetes and bladder cancer?!?! Pics from Wikipedia today.
