A very cursory search seems to show that it is used as a polymerization reagent of sorts. To cross link etc. Are you trying to say it could be a sort of medicine? I think reactive peroxides are generally bad right? Reactive oxygen species and what not?

Anyway if you want safety information you should look up the MSDS of the chemical. Pub chem should have this. Look for the triangle symbol and the numbers in it. The higher they are (up to 4) the more toxic, or explosive it is etc. MSDS should be pretty exhaustive on safety of it, many times they even overstate things imo.
