this might be a stupid question but, how are people receiving actual ballots for November Presidential election when the nominations have not been formalized? What would happen to a party if their cadidate died or could not otherwise continue? Names on ballots before they have been officially voted on by their party seems troublesome to me

POTUS is right! These ballots are illegal. Not only can they not print them before the Convention and formalizing of a Party Candidate, the printing of them has to go out for quote. Several companies would have to be given a chance to quote on the job
