Boatfag Report

Quick Sweep

South China Sea & Taiwan Strait

Lots of unknown type contacts around certain segments of the contested islands. Usually there are a few but this is a pretty good number. Spratly Islands have a lot of contacts, most are Chins but a few Vietnamese mingled in. A number of coast guard law enforcement vessels are also out tonite from Vietnam, the Chins and Taiwan. Cap shows part of the Spratlys area.

US West Coast

A few warships off San Diego and a heaver presence around the Hawaiian Islands, but nothing indicates a pattern or particular activity. USNS Matthew Perry, a supply ship, has departed San Diego.

Petroleum Gulf

No anomalies noted in the shipping traffic, and nothing unusual about the military vessels that show up on scope.

Concur and great work! No apologies, Bro, boatfagging is a long day's work. I was on the stack for about the same when the FORTUNE showed up - thank God the Iranians only sent 5 tankers, double that and I'd be getting hemorrhoids.

Boatfags

Ok, Bros, I'm going off scope for the night. Be back around 0900 EST tomorrow. Expecting the FAXON to show up around then if the estimate is correct, and assuming something doesn't happen to her on the high seas. I think it was Track Sup who mentioned that the FORTUNE and FOREST were the Iranians' old, disposable platforms and that's why they sent those boats first - makes sense, whichever anon said it. So it's possible our guys are waiting for the paydirt platform. Who knows? I would have thought it would be PETUNIA, but I don't think Farsi-cally.

Suggestion - anyone who's on watch tonite, please keep an eye on ADAM JOSEPH to the south of Grenada. It hasn't moved in over a day and I am questioning whether that ship is really a picket boat. If it comes off its current position and moves north to get in eyes-on range for FAXON, that would be interesting. I expected it to do that with PETUNIA, but it didn't…that's why I'm thinking it's just happenstance she's there.

Fair winds. Get rest, stretch, don't burn your eyes out. Oh, and have some GUACAMOLE. GK out.
