Alabama Secretary of State Shreds CNN Host for Saying Absentee Ballot Voter Fraud Doesn't Exist

Posted: May 26, 2020 9:30 PM

As the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic rages on, states across the United States are moving in-person polls into absentee voting. Republicans have repeatedly sounded the alarm on the issue of voter fraud, something that is often associated with voting by mail.

Alabama Secretary of State Jim Merrill put CNN in their place when host Brianna Keilar said voting fraud only takes place at the in-person polls.

"I know that since I've been the Secretary of State in Alabama – five years, four months and eight days – we've had six convictions on voter fraud and had two elections that have been overturned. Five of the six that have been convicted were convicted for fraudulent activity related to absentee balloting," Merrill explained. "I know that for a fact."

"Are you aware that the research shows that in-person voting is more likely to result in voter fraud, which, overall, is basically nonexistent?" host Keilar asked with a laugh. "So it's kind of odd that we're having this conversation, but it's mostly in-person voting, not absentee ballot voting."

Merrill clapped back, saying "everyone is entitled to their opinions but they're not entitled to their own facts."

"And the facts in our state show that we have had voter fraud, that we have had people convicted and those people are currently incarcerated. Period," the secretary of state said. "We're making it easy to vote and hard to cheat in Alabama."

ACLU Withdraws Lawsuit Against Texas “Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn”

After filing the lawsuit in February, the ACLU has dropped its litigation against the seven Texas cities that passed ordinances to effectively prohibit abortion.

Today, lawyers with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) representing two pro-choice groups in the state — the Texas Equal Access (TEA) Fund and the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity — withdrew their lawsuit against seven Texas towns that had declared themselves “sanctuary cities for the unborn.”

The ordinances passed in each of the cities effectively banned abortion by prohibiting abortion facilities from operating within city limits.

However, in their lawsuit, the ACLU’s focus was not on the public or private enforcement mechanisms that the ordinances established, but rather on the designation of organizations that assist women in receiving abortions as “criminal organizations.”

Since the lawsuit was filed in February, several of the cities have amended their original ordinances, removing the naming of any particular organizations as “criminal,” but preserving the explicit prohibition on abortion.

Upon the withdrawal of the lawsuit, the ACLU claimed “victory” in their legal pursuit.

“Our clients [the Lilith Fund and the TEA Fund], alongside countless other groups, are no longer named ‘criminal organizations’ in these cities,” wrote the ACLU of Texas in a tweet. “But local community members are the real winners; they won’t have to fear criminal prosecution for advocating for the right to abortion.”

The ACLU added, “These ordinances have never changed what is already fundamentally true, that abortion is legal not only in Texas but nationwide. Anti-abortion extremists pushed these unenforceable ordinances to mislead Texans about their rights and stigmatize abortion care.”

Similarly, the Lilith Fund declared victory.

“Y’all remember those towns that tried to ‘band abortion’ and say our work made was ‘criminal organizations?’ Yeah we sued and they backed down real quick,” they tweeted. “Take note. Abortion funds, providers, and advocates have the constitutional right to perform their work in these communities and everywhere!”

Any individual or organization that assists in an abortion within the cities’ limits will still be in violation of the ordinances and be liable for punishment.

Mark Lee Dickson, the director of Right to Life of East Texas who drafted the ordinances, maintained that the dropping of the lawsuit was a “total and complete victory for the cities.”

“We said from the outset that there is no legal basis to challenge these ordinances, and they have been vetted by expert legal counsel. We’re pleased that the ACLU realized this and decided to withdraw its lawsuit,” said Dickson.

Texas Right to Life expressed similar applause at the outcome. “As expected, these strong and enforceable ordinances have successfully withstood legal scrutiny,” they stated. “Pro-Life Texans can continue to find encouragement in these citizens’ courageous commitment to stand up for the innocent pre-born children in their own communities, even and especially in the face of superficial legal challenges.”

Towns with current sanctuary city for the unborn ordinances in place include Waskom, Napels, Joaquin, Tenaha, Gilmer, Westbrook, Rusk, Colorado City, Gary, Big Spring, Wells, and Whiteface.

“This lawsuit was nothing but a publicity stunt to deter other cities from creating sanctuaries for the unborn,” Dickson said. “But it will end up having the opposite effect. Now even the ACLU acknowledges that there is no basis for challenging these ordinances, and this will embolden other cities and towns to join the sanctuary city for the unborn movement.”

Editor’s Note: A clarification has been added to note that organizations such as the TEA Fund and Lilith Fund can still be punished for assisting in abortions under the ordinances.

Citizen Journalist Busts Democrat Mail-In Voting Nursing Home Scandal in Texas

by Patrick Howley May 26, 2020

Citizen journalist Colleen Vera has discovered evidence of what appears to be a massive voter fraud ring operating in the state of Texas involving mail-in voting and Democrat political campaigns. Evidence presented below includes a video of a Democrat campaign surrogate harvesting mail ballots from a nursing home, audio of a Democrat campaign worker admitting to harvesting ballots from a nursing home, and mail-in ballots from Harris County that all have the same handwriting and envelope process.

Vera alleges that the campaign of Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee recently paid two convicted forgers, and that other Democrat campaigns have also paid convicted forgers for canvassing efforts. I spoke to Collen Vera regarding her findings:

After the 2016 Democratic Primary, a candidate for Harris County Constable (Pct 3), Jasen Rabalais, filed a lawsuit claiming that a campaign worker for another candidate,Michel Pappillion, “deliberately falsified, illegally completed or unlawfully influenced the ballots and early voting applications of elderly residents in Harris County.”

The lawsuit was dismissed. But the following audio tapes had been made by the Rabalais campaign after he found out that an “alleged harvester” was working for an opponent’s campaign.

Link to Audio #2: “Alleged harvester” explains the services provided (phone # redacted)

Then during the 2018 Primary, the following video was posted by Direct Action Texas. It appeared to show a campaign worker for Texas State Rep Harold Dutton Jr harvesting ballots of 400 elderly voters.

After viewing the video, I decided to do some research. I figured, if there was any evidence of mailed ballot voter fraud to be found in Harris County, the more recent one – Dutton’s race – was the best place to start.

I filed a request for public information covering the 1359 voters who voted by mail in Harold Dutton’s race. I requested electronic copies of the voters’:

applications for ballots by mail and

returned ballot carrier envelopes.

My first thought was to match each voter’s mailed ballot application with the voter’s ballot envelope and compare signatures to find those which may not match. But as I reviewed the documents, something else jumped off the page…

32 hand written applications for mailed ballots – all from different voters – but all written in the exact same handwriting.

Looking closer, something else jumped off the page.

All 32 returned their application for a ballot by mail in the same pre-printed envelope with the same style stamp.

… But then I printed out the envelopes which carried their returned ballots and the BIGGEST COINCIDENCE of ALL jumped off the page…ALL THESE VOTERS LIVED IN THE SAME PRECINCT! Precinct #259…Additional research showed this same handwriting on multiple ballot by mail applications from precinct #259 every year going back to 2008…If that wasn’t enough to cause concern, I had to title this set of applications “Alleged Harvester A” because I found two more sets of multiple applications with similar handwriting, envelopes and stamps from varying precincts. I titled those “Alleged Harvester B” and “Alleged Harvester C.”…

30 ballots from Precinct #259 – in which the voters voted for ALL the same candidates – and they ALL used the same style “X” to mark their ballots.

…I filed another public information request and received a handwritten sign out sheet for persons who had picked up packages of 50 or more applications for mailed ballots in 2018. Two concerning issues from that list.

The FIRST PERSON to pick up multiple applications for ballots by mail in 2018 is the SAME WOMAN from the 2016 audio tape who explained how she accesses nursing homes to acquire mailed ballots for candidates.

TWO of the first three persons who picked up multiple applications for ballots by mail in 2018 have FORGERY convictions…

Federal Election Commission records show that US Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee did make multiple payments to convicted forger Gloria Palmer in 2016
