This NBC 12 story is LITERALLY more FAKE NEWS.

The governor did NOT issue an "order", however illegal, mandating face masks. (Even if that is the appearance he wants to convey.)

The actual guidelines are here (link from the article posted):

https://www.governor.virginia.gov/media/governorvirginiagov/governor-of-virginia/pdf/Virginia-Forward-Phase-One-Business-Sector-Guidelines.pdf

In every section, what it says regarding "customers" or "patrons" is that a business should ENCOURAGE them to wear face masks.

Maybe I missed something, but I don't even see a fake "order" to all residents/inhabitants. Rather, I see an attempt to whip up fear without falling afoul of blatant constitutional violations.

That link didn't work even though this seems the same (?):

This one does purport to directly impose a requirement on "patrons" in general. Section A.

Except I wonder if there is trickery even there.

The order seems directed at "patrons" in general in Section A. But the enforcement section says "The Virginia Department of Health" shall have the authority to enforce this order." This suggests that the enforcement threat is directed at businesses that need health permits. Am I missing something, or does this not suggest that enforcement would need to come via some sort of health inspector, rather than a police officer issuing a citation?
