LB >>9330613 House Republicans Lawsuit Over Proxy Voting

govtrack provides status of legislators during the covid-19 "emergency".

https://www.govtrack.us/covid-19

Only a handful of legislators tested or suspected of postive results. Most legislators in self quarantine were precautionary due to contact with another person or staffer.

April 20 was the last day a House member was in quarantine.

The "Covid-19 Emergency" necessitating the Dem's proxy voting (violating several House Rules and the US Constitution) does not exist.

There is nothing preventing the legislators from performing their duties and voting in person at the Capital.

The Attending Physician and Sergeant At Arms are falsifying official documents of the daily business of Congress by declaring it unsafe to work.

Currently 51 Demicrat Representives have renegged on their their duties and signed on for remote voting by proxy.

Wonder how many of the 51 Democrats will use their work time for campaigning purposes?

In addition to the "emergency" relief and stimulus appropriations, Congress has numerous appropriations bills, requiring committee hearings, reviews, reports and votes, that are due before Oct 1 2020.

Expect a myraid of excuses by end of summer on why this bill or that appropriation could not be completed on time.

[ Please ignore the dozens of covid and relief bills submitted on a daily basis that will serve no function, never be discussed in committee, and creates a massive backlog for the Government Printing Office]

Noticed less than 1/3 of the Democrat Reps selected a "proxy" voter from their own state.

Only 16 out of 51

The vote will be same the same but essentially 35 Representative districts will rely on another state to vote on their behalf on the Floor of the House.

What do Dems and [HRC] say repeatedly,

Every person's vote should count?

In the March emergency declaration, it specifies waiving the 30 day and 60 day time period on local emergency declarations.

If a local juridiction no longer sees the necessity of emergency decrees than they should not be obligated to continue them. The Governor's decree makes the policy statewide but if an emergency does not exist at the local level, he should be obligated to specify which state-wide emergency policies will remain in effect for those local jurisdictions.

Otherwise, the Governor is indeed an Autocrat and emergency policies must remain in effect until all local jurisdictions are cleared. Newsom'a authoritarian approach prohibits common sense and phasing out local jurisdictions from the oppressive decrees.
