Hopefully it's just me, but in case it's part of an organized attack against anons:

I found a new file on my computer that had recently recorded snaphosts of my screen over a 16 hour period.

Looks like it might have been generated through the VLC media player program, which I had used without issue for years. Or maybe my video card software.

If you have 5 minutes, I recommend checking through all recent large files on your drive, and keeping an eye on running programs and network activity. My antivirus and malware detectors didn't give me a single warning about any of this.
