Not just this nursing home but every single one needs to be reinspected.
I live near one and have known people put in there. It is a horrible place. It has been for decades. I remember one, growing up. I use to deliver papers to some of the residents. I was the highlight of there day. They would sit in the entry and wait for me to show up.
I remember one man escapes and walked down our street. A friend of mine sat and talked to him, on the street curb for at least 1/2 an hour. They eventually came and took him away.
If you care for your parents or grandparents, you will never put them in a home. Why have we been conditioned to throw our older family members away?

One of my friend's mother had a leg broken from repositioning her in bed? That poor woman was there for 10 years before she died. They had money and this lady was a dear, wonderful individual. They could have taken care of her at home. Their dad, who controlled the purse strings, they kept at home, years later.

WE have to rise up and call them on this. The country is ours! Start treating it as such.
