If they are fly by wire systems, yes. The picture of the digital filter knob yesterday was a clue. The software only sees data, now actually out of the windows.

They feed the intertial sensing system false data and the software in the plane tries to correct the plant to match the pilot's command, based on the false data. The computer has to be told where it is in space and how fast it's going or it's blind.
