Someone should tell Dan that folks think @POTUS is acting like a tyrant with the EO because they are telling a PRIVATE BUSINESS what they can or can not do on their PRIVATELY OWNED PLATFORM.
I mean, unless it can be proven that Twitter isn't as private as people think it is.
I'm arguing with 5 people over this right now. Each of them despise @ POTUS, and their perception, like a good portion of the public, believe this is "Trump doing a thing because Trump feels accosted for being Trump."
One of my friends is a lawyer and even referenced this EO being eerily similar to the Sedition Act of 1798; a literal affront to Free Speech on a Private Platform.
Had section 230 been the focus up front, we wouldn't even be having this discussion (and don't think I didn't bring it up. That was the lawyer friend's retort).
I know good and well that this is all about the 230 provisions. The problem is, not many others do.
