The U.S. Supreme Court postponed oral arguments back on March 23rd and has been working remotely amid the spread of the coronavirus in the United States.

The justices have been participating in their regular conferences on ongoing cases, albeit by phone call, rather than meeting in person as a group.

While almost all of the justices are practicing social distancing, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is refusing to let the coronavirus stop her from her daily workouts.

George Floyd And Derek Chauvin Both Worked Security At The Same Nightclub — But May Not Have Known Each Other, Owner Says

A former employer, Maya Santamaria, of both George Floyd and Derek Chauvin, the officer arrested for Floyd’s death, claims the two men may have known each other in their roles as security at her former bar.

The owner of the South Minneapolis club said both men worked security at her club and their shifts overlapped. She says the two men both worked for her as early as last year. The bar owner says the ex-police officer worked for her at her club for more than 17 years. Maya Santamaria says that the man seemed always to be scared when he was working and was always quick to use his mace or excessive force, even when she felt it wasn’t warranted.

Question: If Maya Santamaria knew the guy had a temper and leaned toward using excessive force, why did she employ him for 17 years?
