I'm going to be honest here.

There used to be a tiny part of me that cringed inside when we were called "digital soldiers." I loved the military jargon and the memes and the military aesthetic we had going, but I always felt a little like calling us that cheapened the sacrifice of our real heroes in the military.

That said…I think I get it now. It's not just an affectionate nickname.

The Word is the Sword and we are battling for the soul of the planet right now. The stakes have never been higher. The enemy has used information warfare and propaganda to great effect, and this operation is our answer to that.

I don't think we're hot shit or real soldiers for doing what we do, but this is our role in a real military operation to save the world, and in that sense, I'm proud to be a keyboard warrior with you autists.
