I don't know if this has been used overseas, but it never has in America before.
POTUS would be crazy to use this on Americans. He'd never win anyone over again and he'd lose a lot of his base. People do not like high-tech weapons. They don't understand them.

All of DJT's talk of space and space weaponry makes some of us a little skeered of what's available to control us. Drones are bad enough. Think this has to be handled carefully. At least until the thugs show up in our neighborhoods. Or POTUS'.
I'm thinking John Galt. We're sitting back watching, safely. Good guys are okay. But we've essentially left the world's dregs to themselves and they are acting out according to character. They've got what they want. They get to play snotty kids. POTUS will be the adult in the room when it's time.
I didn't rewatch it tonight. I just remember at the time we all felt chastised that we'd jumped to some conclusions we shouldn't have.
Maybe you weren't here at the time.
