Go back and watch the video. EMS didn't pick him up. Those guys were armed and wearing bulletproof vests. Been a few years since I was a paramedic, but I still remember basic triage/assessment before loading a patient onto the gurney. They just flipped him over, scooped him up and plopped him down. Then rolled out. Didn't even buckle him down. None of this makes sense.
