Honestly I think there are reasons in many cases for large scale production. Cars for example. There's a real skill to it. Look how much trouble Musk is having with steel-welding and increasing production of his Model 3.
Sometimes 3-d printing works well, sometimes machining down a block works better. To make something 3-d printed as strong as metal block requires some hi-tech processes.
These are engineering questions. If you think you have a solution, evaluate it technically. It may work and make you lots of $$, anon.
