Christianity was born under Jewish and Roman oppression, where being a Christian, and meeting with other Christians, meant death.
So we met in secret.
Never swore to overthrow the oppressive governments over us.
Went to our deaths singing praises to God.
And thus proved we are children of God, and not children of this world.
