Chief Justice Roberts Sides with Liberals – Refuses California Church Right to Assemble During Pandemic

Chief Justice Roberts joined the the liberal bloc of the Supreme Court in deciding Governor Newsom has the right to deny churchgoers the right to assemble during this pandemic.

Once again, Roberts’ logic is muddled as he this time sided with the far left against the First Amendment of the United States.

The Supreme Court issued a rare late-night ruling on Friday against a California church challenging their state’s stay-at-home order.

In a 5-4 vote, Chief Justice John Roberts broke from other conservative justices to rule in favor of the state. The case was brought by the South Bay United Pentecostal Church in Chula Vista, Calif., which said Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) stay-at-home order ignored religious freedoms.

Roberts noted in an opinion concurring in the unsigned ruling that the restrictions in place are applied to non-religious gatherings and therefore don’t pose a threat to religious liberties.

“Although California’s guidelines place restrictions on places of worship, those restrictions appear consistent with the free exercise clause of the First Amendment,” Roberts wrote.

“…Similar or more severe restrictions apply to comparable secular gatherings, including lectures, concerts, movie showings, spectator sports, and theatrical performances, where large groups of people gather in close proximity for extended periods of time,” he wrote.

UN Human Rights Chief Demands US Takes "Serious Action" To Stop Killing Of Unarmed African-Americans

The UN Human Rights Chief has demanded that authorities in the United States take “serious action” to stop the police killings of unarmed African-Americans following the death of George Floyd.

46-year-old Floyd died on May 25th after Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck for at least seven minutes, an incident that was caught on camera and caused outrage.

Numerous stores, businesses and even an affordable housing block in Minneapolis were looted and burned to the ground by rioters last night in response to the killing.

The United Nations’ Michelle Bachelet issued a statement today calling for immediate action.

“The US authorities must take serious action to stop such killings, and to ensure justice is done when they do occur,” Bachelet said.

“Procedures must change, prevention systems must be put in place, and above all police officers who resort to excessive use of force should be charged and convicted for the crimes committed.”

Bachelet’s demand won’t find much currency amongst many on the right, who will see it as a globalist body trying to interfere in the internal affairs of the United States.

But her words will be welcomed by many on the left who assert that black people are being indiscriminately targeted by white police officers.

However, as Candace Owens pointed out, the stats don’t back up that claim.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Says She Has Two Words For President Trump: “F— You”

Far left Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Friday during a press conference said she has two words for President Trump: “F— you.”

“I will encode what I really want to say to Donald Trump,” Lightfoot said. “It’s two words: It begins with F and it ends with U.”

Lightfoot said she’s been the target of “blatant racism” over the course of her life then she bashed President Trump over his tweets calling for law and order against the George Floyd rioters.

Death & taxes: Big Tech lobbies not to pay much tax after making a killing on Covid-19 pandemic

As the rest of the world is locked at home and companies go bankrupt, Big Tech is enjoying a pandemic M&A spending-spree due to record valuations. Richer than ever, they resist the pressure from governments to pay more taxes.

The ‘Big Five’ (Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Microsoft and Facebook), for example, are announcing 19 mergers and acquisitions (M&As) this year, the fastest pace of acquisitions in five years, according to Refinitiv data cited by the Financial Times this week. Their targets are smaller businesses affected by the coronavirus crisis.

“These companies are already extraordinarily powerful, but they’re well positioned to emerge as the biggest winners of Covid-19 unless some legislative action is taken,” the newspaper cites Sandeep Vaheesan, legal director at the Open Markets Institute, a think-tank that studies corporate concentration.

But only one month ago, the industry lobbying body TechUK (whose hundreds of members include Facebook, Google, Apple and Amazon), urged the Government to “look again” at the Digital Services Tax — a two percent tax levied on UK digital services revenues — citing Covid-19 as the reason.

“Resources are stretched and revenue uncertain,” the body urged, followed by the sound of the world's smallest violin. Yet, only a month later, the tech powerhouse exchange-traded fund (ETF), Invesco QQQ, which tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index, closed with a market value of over $100 billion for the first time since it began trading in 1999.

From Past History: It’s Highly Likely the Groups Behind Today’s Riots are Domestic Terrorists, Revolutionary Communists, US Based Radical Islamist Orgs and Others Related to the Democrat Party

Recent riots in the US instigated throughout so many Democrat-led cities around the country are hardly spontaneous. They appear coordinated.

It is highly likely that these riots are related to the same individuals involved in similar activities over the past year or years. These people are likely related to US based Islamist Organizations, domestic terrorists and others related to the Democrat Party.

There clearly was no reason for the mass riots taking place around the country after the death of the individual at the hands of the police in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Everyone who saw the police brutality was appalled and outraged at the sight of the policeman kneeling on the victims neck for an incredibly long period of time. The man died. But nothing warrants the wholesale destruction of property and further injuries and deaths around the US since that event.

It is clear there is more to this than meets the eye. We believe we have identified some of those who are behind the riots around the country. We are able to say this because similar activities occurred over the past year and we identified the actors related to those events and believe the same actors are likely involved in the current riots as well.

Pro Iran Protests in Early January 2020

In early January, 2020, the Iranian Quds force commander was dead. The man responsible for hundreds of US soldier deaths in Iraq had reached the end of his time on earth. But Yaacov Apelbaum writes, not everyone in America was happy to hear the news that such an evil man was dead:

Within hours of the news that the Iranian Quds force commander, Qassem Soleimani, was killed there were over 200 US-wide pro-Iran demonstrations. These well-attended events were organized exclusively by the Red Green Alliance, an amalgam of communist/socialist/black militant and Muslim organizations. The bulk of the red part of this alliance was represented by the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) and ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism). The green element of the alliance included a number of Islamic organizations such as CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and several of its affiliate Muslim Brotherhood groups, the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), the Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative, Black Lives Matter, and representatives Rashida Tlaib, Keith Ellison, and Ilhan Omar.

Evaluating the demonstration timeline, it is remarkable just how quickly the activists responded to the call to hit the streets. In the 24 hours between the news of Soleimani’s death on January 3rd and the early morning of January 4th, when the boots were on the ground, the organizers pulled all-nighters, printing and mounting thousands of signs and banners. They also solved complex logistic problems of transportation, food, and communications—all hallmarks of an efficient bureaucracy and well-funded organization.

Rioting breaks out in Paris suburb after man is hit by train

Rioting broke out in the Montigny-lès-Cormeilles suburb northwest of Paris on Wednesday night after a man was hit by a train. Locals believed that he had been hit while running from the police, despite officials’ insistence that no officers were involved.

The man, 18, has only been identified as Kémyl. He was a resident of the Aubépines district of Montigny-lès-Cormeilles. He was on a scooter crossing a pedestrian walkway across the tracks when he was struck by a Paris-bound train at approximately 6:45 PM on Wednesday, according to a report by Le Parisien. The man’s body was thrown to the side while his scooter, which got caught under the train, was dragged a distance down the tracks before it came to a halt.

Emergency personnel, including police, were immediately despatched to the scene, and Kémyl was declared dead. Traffic along the line was halted until midnight. Many local residents and Kémyl’s relatives went to the area to see what had happened. Some began accusing the police of causing the accident, despite the fact that the local police department — and even eyewitnesses — maintains that no officers were in the vicinity at the time, and that none of their personnel were present until after the accident.

More officers were soon mobilized over concerns that the accusations could become violent. And they did: rioting and clashes with the police occurred throughout the night. Police reported that seven surveillance cameras were destroyed, as were twelve trash bins. Projectiles were also thrown at police stations and at the town hall, and there were other incidents of arson. Eight people between the ages of 16 and 32 were arrested and held in custody.

Residents said that they did not believe the police’s claims of innocence. “We only believe [that the police were responsible]because these sort of things happen all the time,” one local resident told a reporter.

Taous, Kémyl’s aunt, objected to the crowd’s refusal to believe that the police weren’t involved in his death, saying that it is creating a “bad image” of her nephew.

There was rioting in the Parisian suburbs earlier this month after a man on a motorcycle was killed in an accident while fleeing from a routine traffic stop, as previously reported by Voice of Europe.

Atlanta rapper 'Killer Mike' blasts CNN in powerful speech: 'Stop feeding fear and anger'

Atlanta-based rapper "Killer Mike," whose real name is Michael Render, blasted CNN on Friday during a nearly 9-minute speech on Friday in which he pleaded with protesters to stop rioting.

"I love CNN, I love Cartoon Network," Killer Mike said. "But, I'd like to say to CNN right now, said. Stop feeding fear and anger every day. Stop making people feel so fearful. Give them hope."

"I'm glad they only took down a sign and defaced a building, and they're not killing human beings like that policeman did," he continued. "I'm glad they only destroyed some brick and mortar and they didn't rip a father from a son. They didn't rip a son from a mother — like the policeman did."

Killer Mike's powerful speech came on the same day that protests, sparked by the tragic death of George Floyd, spilled over into major cities across America.

During demonstrations in Atlanta, thousands of protesters descended on CNN's world headquarters, which is located in the heart of the city. Demonstrators defaced the building and wrote messages on the network's iconic logo just outside the building's entrance before actually breaching the building.

The violence resulted in a forceful response from Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, a Democrat, who described the demonstrations as "chaos" that is "not in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr."

"You are disgracing our city. You are disgracing the life of George Floyd and every other person who has been killed in this country," Bottoms said. "We are better than this. We are better than this as a city. We are better than this as a country. Go home."

Merkel won’t attend G7 summit in person if US goes ahead

BERLIN (AP) — Chancellor Angela Merkel will not personally attend a meeting in the U.S. with the leaders of the world’s major economies if President Donald Trump goes ahead with it, unless the course of the coronavirus spread changes by then, her office said Saturday.

After canceling the Group of Seven summit, originally scheduled for June 10-12 at Camp David, Trump said a week ago that he was again considering hosting an in-person meeting of world leaders because it would be a “great sign to all” of things returning to normal during the pandemic.

Immediately after that announcement, Merkel suggested she had not yet made up her mind on whether to attend in person or by video conference, but her office told the dpa news agency she has now made a decision.

“As of today, given the overall pandemic situation, she cannot commit to participating in person,” her office said. It added that the chancellor would continue to monitor the coronavirus situation in case things change.

DC Mayor Accuses Trump Of ‘Hiding Behind His Fence’ From ‘Peaceful Protesters’

Democratic Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser fired back at President Donald Trump after a night of nationwide unrest.

Protesters were responding to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died Monday in police custody in Minneapolis — and in multiple cities, protesters became violent and destructive, looting businesses and setting them ablaze.

President Donald Trump spent the morning tweeting his thanks to the Secret Service, noting that Bowser had kept D.C. police from responding.

Bowser responded by attacking Trump directly, suggesting that he had been hiding in the White House, afraid of a handful of “peaceful protesters.”
