From comments these past few days, younger anons don't realize that all this protesting rioting went on in the late 60s. Those years were terribly depressing. We never knew who would be assassinated next.

The space program was the only thing happening that lifted our spirits and gave us something exciting and hopeful.

POTUS is probably pushing space, also, because that promotes STEM, which is really a way to get better education available to the masses. Analytical thought has been absent too long. You can't be an engineer or scientist if you don't acquire that.

He knows what's missing we the kids. Sci-fi only ignites the imagination so much. You need the reality of going into space to do more than fantasize.

All that is true, but men at the level that Trump is at think 40k view. They strategize for the long haul. So do generals. That means lots of collateral damage and tragic deaths. We're right up close to it. They are not.

It all started out well, earlier in the decade.

But the more intelligent protest leaders discovered money and power.

Now, what are we most threatened by?

I'd say run-amuk technology and multi-culturalism. But the 60s protesters are the ones who gave us those things to our detriment.
