and, Grandmother in the late 1960's was in one when Alzheimers was not understood. Horrible places those were back in the day.

 

Then mother was in facility that cares for Alzheimers in the late 2000's. Much better care.

 

Sister was a paid caregiver to people in rehab centers for a couple years. Nursing staff were few which is why families would hire my sister. Needed to make sure their family member was well taken care of. But after she left for the day anything could happen. One of her elders, after she had left for the evening, fell out of bed and broke her hip. They didn't find her until the next morning moaning on the floor. Elder didn't live longer after that.
