As national restrictions, high unemployment continue, experts believe America on the brink of “mass civil unrest”

An expert with the United States Studies Center has told Sky News Australia that he believes America is on the brink of “mass civil unrest” which is starting to show itself in some form through the increasing number of anti-lockdown protests erupting across the country.

Over the past week or two, it is becoming clear that some of the American people are getting anxious about the continuing shutdown of businesses and social activity nationwide as the government lockdown enters nearly 1-1/2 months.

US in Moral Decline

Last week, U.S. Attorney General William Barr told a University of Notre Dame Law School audience that attacks on religious liberty have contributed to a moral decline that's in part manifested by increases in suicides, mental illness and drug addiction. Barr said that our moral decline is not random but "organized destruction." Namely that "Secularists and their allies have marshaled all the forces of mass communication, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values."

The attorney general is absolutely correct. Whether we have the stomach to own up to it or not, we have become an immoral people left with little more than the pretense of morality. The left's attack on religion is just the tiny tip of the iceberg in our nation's moral decline. You say: "That's a pretty heavy charge, Williams. You'd better be prepared to back it up with evidence!" I'll try with a few questions for you to answer.

Twitter turns its logo BLACK amid George Floyd riots & adds hashtag #BlackLivesMatter to profile

With rioting in full swing across America, social media giant Twitter has made its offering to the gods of corporate wokeness, blacking out its distinctive logo and replacing its bio with the hashtag “#BlackLivesMatter.”

The Silicon Valley firm made the changes to its profile on Sunday, after five consecutive nights of protests and rioting in major cities around the US. The company didn’t immediately explain its redesign, but has already tweeted about the “long-standing racism and injustices faced by Black and Brown people on a daily basis.”

Racism does not adhere to social distancing.Amid the already growing fear and uncertainty around the pandemic, this week has again brought attention to something perhaps more pervasive: the long-standing racism and injustices faced by Black and Brown people on a daily basis. 🧵 pic.twitter.com/8zKPlDnacY

Twitter is not the only corporate giant to side with the protest movement. Netflix boasted on Saturday that it has “a duty to our Black members, employees, creators and talent to speak up,” while Nike – already known for its social-justice oriented ad campaigns – released a video on Friday urging its customers to “be part of the change” and not “make any more excuses.”
