Whenever I see the map of Red counties all over the US– I wonder,

 

How is it that we always have a near 50/50 Dem/Repub Congress??

 

Since each state only gets 2 Senators, how are we getting a near 50% Democrat Senators in every Congress??

 

the Republican "majority" is always only by a few. yet look at all the red counties and states.
