No they aren't, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Violent communists were terrorizing all of Europe from 1917 onward. They would burn down government buildings, destroy landmarks, attack political opposition gatherings, etc. Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Germany had fascist movements to counter the violent marxists. The only reason we don't hear about Spain and Portugal having fascist governments during the WWII era is because they didn't participate in and lose the war. Fascism has always been a response to violent communism. This is a fact.
National Socialism is not the same as Communism (international socialism, marxism, bolshevism, etc.) Under National Socialism, individuals owned private property and means of production. However, the State regulated elite parasitism, monopolies, cartels, etc. Primarily, the State protected its citizens. This is nothing like Communism.
