if they would just be as they first let on to be, a place were free speech was saved for all, then they'd be fine. but they do need competition.

how about we just give all their code to the military and have them run the servers for a few years till we figure it out and it can be run the way it was. but probably all the same engineers will be involved.

no, don't shut it down. Take way that parts that are wedged in that created problems.

just like with architecture for buildings in the plaza, we need rule for the forum. The walls and roofs must be safe.

so we apply that same idea allegorically to Twitter and make them take out the parts that some reasonable team of software archtects and civil libertarians say 'um, this little wedge here, remove it'.

or 'don't save that part, delete it, it's not data you should have' or

the part where you review it, that's fine, you can say that the president is a jackass but you need to side bar it and give everyone else a choice to add to your delusions. and let the president have his speech be unfettered by your special attention but . . .

if yo udo that you have to do it for everyone because the president, in this venue, is equal in the forum to speak as he will!

that is what free speech is.

so don't do in these platforms, unwedge them from the control puppet control-and-censor ship plane.

commentary is fine. It just can't be arbitrary and political and only applied to some and in a way that interfers with the message.

so . . that being said, the decoupling of the commentary from the original post . . . in a way that doesnt interfer, band also allows others access so that they can comment too, even if they are off site and storing the data somewhere else.

Basic point: the censorship hooks need to be removed.
