SFV (L.A. county) anon reporting in. Very quiet past few days where I am located. Not a high priority region for causing mayhem. However, that means it is a good place to hide if sought by cops. Early yesterday morning I spotted what could only be an Antifa type walking out of a local sports park, where homeless often camp for the night. He was in full black attire, with a black backpack, with a stupid false bravado walk. With dogs in tow, he walked ahead of me toward my street. Last I spotted him he ducked down along the riverbank where some homeless have set up camp during Covid-19 lockdown. That group of homeless have been quiet and harmless, clearly not wanting to draw attention from (we) alarmed locals experienced in dealing with the criminal homeless element (we know the police, they know us). The Antifa type walked past the homeless tents and settled by himself beneath a tree at a distance. In addition to his appearance, that told me he was not a "regular." He would have checked in with the other homeless.
Today: Antifa have left social media messages regarding taking the fight to the suburbs. San Clemente in Orange County has been targeted, with the finding of an explosive device underneath a nearby bridge among protestors. Beneath bridges would be an ideal place to find refuge if an out of town Antifa type looking for a place to hide, or stage.
Today on a bike ride to BH and back, I passed under one of the many 101 freeway tunnels. A police SUV without lights on was parked underneath along the curb, and several police were talking with some of the homeless. Just a guess, but if Antifa were hiding among the homeless, the smarter homeless probably don't like it at all, and may end up being a valuable source of intel. Even the less than smart can be cajoled into telling the police what they want to know. With the recent instruction by Barr for the JTTF to round up Antifa leaders, it wouldn't surprise me if they already know Antifa are using the homeless to hide among. Don't think for a second the LAPD aren't working with the DC Justice Dept.
