I've advocated and lobbied for all evidence being timestamped in gmt or zulu time since the beginning.
Because no timezones, each hour of the day gets it's own number, etc etc etc. Less chance of being able to salt evidence with compromised info due to local conversion errors, also. Cannot be beat forensically or even at a glance.
