So my observations from Denver. Last night way the first real night where rioters went into the streets and caused havoc. We spent most of the night protecting our house from being lit on fire as Antifa rode around indiscriminately starting fires all over downtown.
It was the last night of Antifas 3 days of action. So i figured today it would calm down. I went to the protest at the capitol to check it out, Very few people. Maybe 200. Artists, families, typical hippie types etc. But very few antifa types.
8 o clock comes. and BAM thousands of these antifa fucker come out of their safe houses and all coordinate a massive move to raid the Denver police station. For the rest of the night there were two things. Antifa was going around causing damage, fires, etc. I caught one clearly Antifa member with two propane tanks who broke into our property and was trying to light our house on fire. He was carrying 4 backpacks! and a gallon of milk. haha. Anyways, in large part the people out at night rioting were not the people at the protests. And we have encountered and even helped a lot of young protesters scared and looking for help after getting caught up in what they thought was a peaceful protest that turned militant against the police.
Either way its been very stressful. Our neighbors have had to band together and are all keeping lookout and defending out home from being lit on fire and broken into.
Im exhausted and don't know I can handle this much longer before i just pack up and move out. We are armed but the recourse for us using force to defend ourselves will probably be prosecuted more severely then the crime of the people breaking into our property, so we are for the most part trying to blend in, but putting our foot down when someone crosses the line. Unfortunately the police are unable to help us if things get serious. Its a frighting situation. But the over all picture is this is definitely a very well planned, well funded, movement.
