People on the interwebz are saying jamming

Much more likely that comms were taken offline

To actively jam a crowd of people you would need vehicles or backpacks so it would be hard to fit in (or maybe the gear has gotten smaller since I was in the game?? Possible/probable)

I wasn't there so maybe there were vehicles with CVRJs MMBJs Dukes or whatever high speed versions they are up to.

Of course, if WiFi and cellular are only what you are targeting mebbe they did have ppl in the crowds with backpack jammers

That is a small area one backpack would effect and you'd need to switch out batteries over the course of the night

Much more likely (IMO) a switch was flipped or a plug pulled to the communications infrastructure

I'm almost positive the public will never know what habbened and how comms went down because muh techniques tactics and procedures need to be kept on the downlow

Just wanted to point out that actively jamming all comms certainly can be done but takes a lot of effort

Much easier to pull the few levers of internet cellular and data.

Think the opposite of cell towers

Wouldn't be beyond belief that a piece of a building that is facing a street could be outfitted with an antenna to actively jam a certain band

That would be one way to get out of the battery business and disrupt comms except for the frequencies you want to use (notch filters)

There would still be a dead zone and as soon as protestors were outside of the dead zone they could stream

Still leaning toward comms being taken completely offline rather that actively jammed
