Seems like a huge oversight, doesn’t it? And to think there are scores of nonprofit leaders and academics in Washington, DC who can accurately predict global temperatures 10, 15, even 50 years into the future.

Oh, stop it with the “climate isn’t weather” rebuttal. It’s trite and silly. The guys who says “food isn’t cuisine” is a food critic, and by default, haughty and obnoxious.

As racial justice takes a backseat to revolution, where an odd mix of anarchists and socialists seeking to uproot capitalism join forces with criminal elements looking for opportunity and bored millennials out for sport and entertainment, all of these elements appear to have converged in a single scene that played out in Washington.

With the nation’s capital under siege, an Antifa domestic terrorist (or wannabe) was seen using a hammer to break up a curb — the broken pieces of concrete making for convenient projectiles to hurl at police.

As the white thug busily tends to the task at hand, others in the crowd set upon him, corralling the individual and shoving him toward police, who were standing idly by a few feet from where the man was hammering away.

Syrian Army seizes massive weapons cache with US-made guns in southern Syria: photos

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered a large weapons cache while combing through the formerly militant-held areas of southern Syria on Monday.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the Syrian Arab Army seized a plethora of weapons, including 23mm machine guns, assault rifles including US-made M-16 rifles, night-vision and regular binoculars, communication devices, anti-tank missiles, RPG rounds, and hundreds of kilograms of hashish.

The items also included more than half a million rounds for machine guns and assault rifles, as well as anti-tank landmines.

The SANA report released several photos to showcase the large cache that was seized by the Syrian Arab Army earlier in the day.

Two Brooklyn residents who graduated from some of America’s top universities are in considerable trouble for hurling a molotov cocktail at an NYPD vehicle.

Colinford Mattis, 32, and Urooj Rahman, 31, of Brooklyn, are facing charges of being in possession of explosive device components after human rights activist and Fordham Law School grad, Urooj Rahman allegedly tossed a Molotov cocktail at an NYPD vehicle before fleeing with Princeton and NYU Law School grad Colinford Mattis.

Colinford MattisAccording to the New York Post – Colinford Mattis, 32, was allegedly behind the wheel of a tan minivan as his passenger, fellow attorney Urooj Rahman, allegedly hurled the incendiary at an empty NYPD vehicle outside the 88th Precinct stationhouse in Fort Greene early Saturday.

Mattis, a graduate of Princeton University and New York University law school, is an associate at corporate Manhattan firm Pryor Cashman

Ready for war? Largest Chinese base has full-scale model of Taiwan’s presidential palace

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) – Satellite photos released over the weekend revealed the presence of a full-scale model of the Taiwanese presidential palace at a Chinese military base, The Drive reported.

In the satellite photos, the images revealed that China’s Zhurihe Combined Tactics Training Base, which is the largest of its kind, has a replica of Taiwan’s presidential palace so that the the soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) could conduct storming exercises.

While conducting urban warfare in mock towns is standard procedure for most militaries, the replica of the Taiwanese presidential palace appears to have a more nationalistic twist, as tensions remain high between Beijing and Taipei.

The model of the of the presidential palace even has the red and white facade of the building from which Taiwanese President Tsai Ing Wen runs the autonomous island.

The front of the mock-up can also be seen very briefly in this promotional video from 2015 which, according to The War Zone, would have been two years after the structure was built.

Thousands of National Guard troops are deployed all over the country

Governors across the U.S. continue to activate National Guard troops in response to the civil unrest that has rocked the country after an African-American man was killed while he was being arrested by police officers in Minneapolis.

In Minnesota alone, the State wherein the incident took place, more than 5000 Army and Air Force National Guard troops have been activated.

National Guards troops are being primarily used in a support role to the local law enforcement and emergency services departments. This entails securing police departments, fire stations, and state buildings and safeguarding paramedics and ambulances as they treat and evacuate people from the affected areas. Moreover, National Guard troops are providing intelligence and surveillance support. However, since each National Guard unit reports to its state’s governor, their role might vary according to the situation in their state.

Air Force General Joseph Lengyel, the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, said in a press statement that “We plan, train and prepare for emergency response missions with our local, state, and federal partners. Mayors, Governors Ask Rioters To Wear Face Masks, Practice Social Distancing

Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey wants protesters destroying the city to wear masks and practice social distancing.

“The City encourages everyone to exercise caution to stay safe while participating in demonstrations, including wearing masks and physical distancing as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The City has made hundreds of masks available to protesters this week,” the mayor and other city officials said in a statement.

In protests across the U.S., rioters are packed in like sardines — and police, who have broken up even small gatherings of people and cleared beachgoers from the shore, have done nothing.

Other mayors and governors have said much the same thing as Frey.

US accuses ex-Venezuela politician of helping recruit Hezbollah, Hamas operatives

US prosecutors have accused former Venezuelan politician, Adel El Zabayar, of conspiracy to help recruit Hezbollah and Hamas operatives to plan attacks on US targets.

The 56-year-old, who is of Syrian descent, also stands accused of two weapons related charges, conspiracy to commit narcoterrorist acts and conspiracy to import cocaine as part of his membership to the Cartel de los Soles, or Cartel of the Suns in English.

The Cartel of the Suns is a network of officials in the Nicolás Maduro regime, including Maduro and his number two Diosdado Cabello, involved in drug trafficking. Both were indicted in March.

Manhattan US Attorney Geoffrey Berman said in a statement on Wednesday: “We further allege today, for the first time, that the Cartel de los Soles sought to recruit terrorists from [Hezbollah] and Hamas to assist in planning and carrying out attacks on the US, and that El Zabayar was instrumental as a go-between.”

According to the indictment, in 2014, El Zabayar held several meetings with Cabello, who instructed him to travel to Syria and Palestine to obtain weapons and recruit members of Hezbollah and Hamas to be trained in Venezuela, the Miami Herald reported.
