Most cops would gladly do more, but their chiefs won't allow it.
Real good cops have to find a way around protocol to do their jobs.
Millionaire developers get city/county/state tax abatement so that they don't have to spend their own money to build. Those tax exemptions last 20 years. Then the building is demolished and replaced with a new one, with all new tax breaks. No reason to use good materials.

Thinking back to the late 60s, the SDS, Weather Underground, Black Panthers. So many of their leaders would up univ profs at big time schools.
