Cleanup underway for Sacramento businesses after second night of looting
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Volunteers and small business owners are cleaning up downtown streets and buildings Monday morning after a second night of looting hit the area.
Tony’s Delicatessen was one of the businesses damaged by protests Sunday night.
“I've been here 29 years, going on 30 years. My life is here. What can I say? This is not good, this is not the way to do things,” said Elias Silhi, owner of Tony’s Delicatessen.
Several of the businesses were already hurting from the lost business during the coronavirus pandemic, and face an already long road of recovery.
