Trey Gowdy on Fox discusses

challenges of designating Antifa

as a domestic terror group.

 

He questions what legal tools that gives to Bill Barr that he doesn't already have through existing laws.

 

He also expresses the concern of it being a dangerous precedent to allow an administration to start naming groups who oppose their political policies as domestic terrorists.

 

Pros and cons?

 

Wouldn't the designation allow wider federal response in putting down insurrection and trying them in military tribunals as enemy combatants?

 

It does seem a slippery slope.

But I for one would like to see more action in stopping these people.
