the song is really full of such love

touched me just now

and I have to say something

thank you for posting this

-----–

I grew up in the 1950's and 60's.

Most everyone I knew had strict parents and strict teachers. You did not question authority… not teachers, not doctors, not politicians… and kids were to be seen and not heard.

It wasn't just Elvis or the Beatles or Motown or rock n roll that pulled us out of our safe cocoons - it was television. We saw the world and news programs were excellent.

I found myself in a fake world of prissy rules that made no sense. By the time I graduated high school I had rejected a lot of the hype. As a girl, I wanted to have friends among other girls, but I liked being friends with guys. Well, it was tricky. It was like a taboo because it meant romance not friendship.

And so I loved being a hippie.

And this is why I'm writing this.

When a person "made the change" from a controlled social structure to a more free one, you pretty much clung to the ideal of PEACE AND LOVE. It did not mean you fucked everyone. It meant you gave love and friendship freely without judgment.

Listening to this song it struck me.

Antifa is the polar opposite of the hippie culture.

They are colorless. Morbid. Violent.

Their "oneness" is a forced one as if a substitute for something they just cannot FEEL and so it needs to be regulated with cult-like behaviors.

They are the ANTI-CHRIST.

They are embodiment of dead things. Hate. Vengeance. Unforgiveness. Dirty and ugly language.

And now it is clear to me.

The bonds of love I felt with humanity as a hippie – will never die. They are golden threads that connect us all to each other.

Love. Peace. True brotherhood with each other. Drugs and sex aren't the truth about hippies. Not really. Love is.

nite nite

No. I don't buy this theory.

As soon as these "protests" proved to be destructive and violent, the "peaceful protesters" should have changed their tactics to some other form of action.

The "peaceful protesters" continued to allow themselves to be the vehicle for the VIOLENCE from the looters and socialist activists. If the organizers didn't have the wherewithal to restructure the marches, then the individuals themselves should have FUCKING STAYED HOME if for no other reason than to protect their own safety.

No. The minute it turned violent – any meaningful protest was over. It became a mob of gangsters and if you marched with these gangsters, YOU WERE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

You allowed yourself to be used as a vehicle for criminal activity.

When you think of the many ways of protesting something – why choose violence?

Why not demand a special city council meeting to resolve the concerns of GOOD CITIZENS, like good citizens do.

Everyone was part of this mob. Everyone.

and something else

the idea that police "took the knee" for these hoodlums when the hoodlums demanded it

MADE ME SICK

and then you hear other police captains saying what a wonderful community moment it all was – how it was such a bonding experience

I'll give you a bonding experience.

YOU get down on one knee and BEG FORGIVENESS for being a part of the violence the rest of the world HAD TO WATCH

I don't feel sympathy for any of these protesters. Police shouldn't submit to BULLIES.

You will all look like FOOLS when we learn ALL ABOUT Mr. George Floyd. His family will not thank you for making a worldwide spectacle of his life, as tragic as his life may have been.
