US Navy term for identifying the right approach of a plane landing on an aircraft carrier. The carrier asks the pilot to "Call the Ball", meaning can the pilot see the indicator. The pilot replies when he "Has the ball". "Roger Ball" means the plane is on correct glideslope and thst the indicator is centered. Older pilots used to call it the "Meatball" before it got shortened. Planefag out.
