Karli became well known because when the Russia Hoax turned out to be true, Rachel MadCow started crying on TV and Karli made a video and started using her signature laugh. She then had the video removed by Twitter and I also think POTUS retweeted that same video, if I'm not mistaken…but basically that's how Karli became popular.
It's a hard climb on Twitter to obtain followers. I had a Twitter account for 2 years before having it banned, and I think I had about 1800 followers. A large percentage of those followers came from Lisa Mei who retweeted the POTUS Nothing Burger meme. Lisa had very few followers at the time, but I agreed with what she had to say so I had followed her for quite some time. POTUS retweeted her, and then her followers spiked. Then she retweeted one of my memes, and my followers spiked.
So, basically if you can get somebody famous to retweet something from you, you will gain lots of followers.
Karli has had POTUS retweet her a few times now.
