Sig P365 XL
Check the ROMEOZERO sights (see pic)
(regular P365 for carry, more compact, firing pin issue long worked out).
Have a W. Germany P228 for home. 18 round mags.
Crossbreed holsters are nice, but others good as well.

another view of the XL w/ ROMEO.
Agree a bit pricey, but in perfect shape 26 years later, and ultra-reliable. No regrets on that purchase! Could sell the 228 for a bit more than paid for it back then, so held value well (ignoring time value of money, so not exactly an 'investment' proposition).
The 228 is a bit large for carry, will get a 365 when bit more flush w/ cash.
Whatever anon decides, factor in at least 1/2 dozen spare mags (Mec-Gar are nice).
A 'Maglula UpLula 9mm to .45 ACP Universal Pistol Magazine Loader and Unloader' is a handy gadget for $30, save your thumbs and time at the range.
>don't know just how often a jam can occur with a semi-automatic
Can only recall a single jam at the range ever, w/ some cheap range reloads. Only few thousand rounds through it though.
You bet fren. Also, invest in a proper safe for storage at home, and trigger guard for travel if required in your state.
Agreed.
Keep mags ready with hollow points and full metal jacket, depending upon threat.
Anyone know of good rubber bullet options? One fear is dogs with the kiddos, but don't want to kill a pup if can be avoided (and safer in that situation).
