โ€œI would reject โ€˜waveโ€™ and โ€˜crisis,โ€™โ€ said Marine Lt. Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr. โ€œWeโ€™re are going to look at each one in turn. Each one is tragic. We regret each one. We will look at them carefully. I am certainly not prepared to say that itโ€™s a โ€˜waveโ€™ of mishaps or some form of โ€˜crisis.โ€™โ€

that said, I DONT believe that the Fed has the citizens interests in mind.

Privatizing a fiat currency is not the answer. Allow the government, controlled by the people, to determine policy. Of course, corruption is a risk.

I cant recall it ever really working. May the quantitative easing, but one can argue that Fed policy stoked the fires leading to the need to QE.

I have an open mind, but I just cant get on board with a privatized money system. It creates incentives to return a profit for the corporation (fed res.) versus creating an environment that supports citizens of the country.

It can be argued that a major reason Gadhafi was killed was his move to stop trading in dollars which would significantly hurt the Fed.
