I am blessed to be able to look out of my bedroom window every morning and see an American flag waving in the wind just across the street.
When I see that flag, I see America the Beautiful in all her Glory.
When I see that flag, I see the noble things in life.
Freedom. Truth. Beauty. Bravery. Strength. Excellence. Sacrifice. Perseverance.
Justice. Righteousness.
I see Revolution. I see Power to the People, We the People. I see Liberty and Independence.
I see Pain and Progress.
I see Unity and Victory.
I see something Original, something Unique. I see a Blessing from God, a Beacon of Hope.
I see the past, present, and future in that flag. And throughout time, it stands as an emblem, of Good’s Victory over evil. Each star, each stripe stands for a group of people. Groups of people that came together to destroy something ugly: Tyranny, and replace it with something Beautiful: an Indivisible Republic.
Indivisible: unable to be divided, by anything, along any line.
Republic: “state of the people”. An Indivisible State of the People.
A place where, before we are any other color, we are Red White and Blue.
We the People were enslaved and We the People broke free. We the People defeated enemies out there and enemies in here. The Enemy has always been the same. We were slaves to something unjust. We broke off our chains, defeated our oppressor, and made our own Land. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.
This is embedded in our DNA. Every American soul wants to be free. Every American soul Fights against its Oppressor. But our oppressor got smarter. Our oppressor has turned us against each other, not once, not twice, but every day for 240+ years.
My America is clean, she’s just been beaten. She’s been abused and betrayed, raped and defiled. She’s been deceived and confused and slandered and maddened. She’s had her reputation ruined, stolen from her. She’s been attacked with lies and falsehoods, from within and without.
Yet my America still stands. In War and in Peace, she still waves in the wind, Singular still, Exceptional still.
The American spirit is alive and well; it’s just been misdirected. Coming together is in our blood, we can’t help but do it. We just need to learn to point in the same, right direction, at the same Enemy, again. It’s time to break free, again, this time for good.
For God & Country.
I pledge allegiance, to the Flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic, for which it stands, One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All. Amen.
May we stand and fight together again, not against each other, but against those who seek to destroy us - all of us, every shape size and color.
Sleeping American brothers and sisters, when I say “Where We Go One, We Go All”, don’t mock me, but ask me where we’re going.
