As early Q post stated…what happens if Mayors and the Police Commissioners/Chiefs do not enforce the law?

In a way, yes, but with limited authority.

-He is the Chief Law [Enforcement] Officer.

-He did not and does not create the law.

-He can coordinate a new law with Congress by executing his separate authority via signature.

-He can issue lawful Executive Orders and have them carried out.

-He can encourage and work to coordinate with Congress and States changes to Constitutional Amendments but cannot override them.
