Q, freelance stage anon here, asking you to relay a message to Q+ re: the selection of a new venue for the RNC:

Come to Texas!!! We're the most open post-kung flu state in the Union, and we have three of the biggest sports venues in America all within a 1-mile radius: AT&T Stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play, where the seating record is something over 110,000 with the 2010 NBA All Star Game (anon was on that gig); across the creek from that is Met Life Park where the Texas Rangers used to play, but I'm not sure what their accommodations are, since they closed shop and moved to their new house across the street, which they'd hoped to have opened this season, and so it's never been used. Since there's no baseball this year, if you can use both Ranger houses, plus the Arlington Convention Center a few blocks away, you might be able to easily fit 350,000 people, then for overflow you have the Texas Motor Speedway about 10-15 miles up I-35E, with a possible total convention attendance up to half a million people in Tarrant County alone; I can't speak for liberal Dallas as to more overflow.

Anon is a self-employed freelance stagehand of 21 years, with hundreds of friends who are eager to work; if you get all three sports houses, we can have your show up and running in 4 weeks; if you can get every hotel you want plus the Texas Motor Speedway, I'd say 6 weeks; call Media West, ask for Trish (I'm not Trish):

Media West does the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day halftime show every year plus numerous other events at AT&T Stadium as well as other venues, and they're VERY good at sub-contracting the very best production companies to specialize in each department: rigging; staging; scenic; lighting; audio; video; pyro; wardrobe; catering, etc.

Tarrant County also has numerous hotels for breakout rooms and sleep accommodations, including the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine; the Hilton inside the Texas Motor Speedway; the downtown Fort Worth Omni; the hotels in Arlington, and then there's the Dallas hotels, if they'll have you

Looking forward to building the biggest RNC of all time, and thank you!
