ary Cunningham, a former member of the Metropolitan Council and longtime leader in the Twin Cities’ nonprofit community, will be stepping down from his role as president and CEO of the minority-entrepreneurial organization known as the Metropolitan Economic Development Association, or MEDA.
Cunningham said Thursday that he had accepted the position of president of Prosperity Now!, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that advocates against wealth inequality. He will move to Washington with his wife, former Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges.
