They are showing the public that the public is NOT the enemy. It is very, very important that the majority of the protesters and the country to see that the 2 are NOT on opposing sides.

These are not soldiers facing an enemy - this is a very, very different situation. They are in a different position and it was a wise, and prudent thing to do because it shows
-solidarity with the People, as opposed to opposition to the People
-humility, in that they are not coming in from outside to impose or repress the People
-understanding, in that they are not mindless killers who only know or can act with violence
That was my first thought when I heard that new term. Whomever is advising them is either laughing at them behind their backs (would not be surprised) or really, really stupid (also would not be surprising).

These assholes are calling Obama "the President" , the graphic while he was speaking said "President Obama" not "former President Obama"
