“An overwhelming display of force eliminates the need to use force,” said Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), calling for President Donald Trump to use the Insurrection Act to end ongoing riots. He offered his remarks on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Cotton said, “The only way to meet these rioters and looters and arsonists and insurrectionists is with an overwhelming display of force, and the very reason an overwhelming display of force is necessary is to eliminate the need to employ force.”

Cotton contrasted the restoration of order in Washington, DC, and ongoing unrest in New York City, NY.

“You’ve seen that in the last couple nights in the streets of Washington, DC. The Attorney General has said — with thousands of specialized law enforcement agencies and the National Guard available — there’s been a dramatic decline in violent incidents, destruction of property, and attacks on innocent life,” Cotton stated. “You’ve seen it as well in Minneapolis. Once the governor there, finally, called out the full National Guard to protect the Twin Cities area. There’s been a decline in violence as well. This is not a surprise.”

Cotton continued, “This is exactly what you have to do to deal with these kind of insurrectionists and anarchists. Unfortunately, you have other cities like New York City run by perhaps the most clueless politician in America that refuses to even use the National Guard, something for which the governor of New York State criticized him for yesterday, and what are we seeing in New York City? The violence continues to get worse.”

A man angry with teenagers who reportedly threw items at his car was captured on video emerging from his vehicle with a double-bladed, wrist-strapped weapon — quickly dubbed a “wolverine claw” online — in Whitestone, Queens, Wednesday afternoon.

The footage, shared by NBC New York reporter Myles Miller, shows a man shouting at the youths before turning his grey SUV around to drive up to them. The man is seen quickly exiting his vehicle and chasing down one of the young men as he asks, “You want to throw shit like that?” while pointing the weapon at him.

Texas Man Wanted to ‘Off Racists and MAGA People’ at George Floyd Protest, Say Feds

The man arrested by police in Lubbock, Texas, after he brandished a semi-automatic rifle in front of a George Floyd protest posted a threat on Facebook saying he wanted to “off racists and MAGA people,” officials stated. He allegedly shouted, “President Trump must die” and “this is a revolution” as authorities took him into custody.

Lubbock police officers arrested 25-year-old Emmanuel Quinones on Saturday after he was captured on video purportedly brandishing a loaded Smith & Wesson .223 semi-automatic rifle in front of protesters, KCBD NBC11 reported. The protesters were standing in support of George Floyd, the black man killed by Minneapolis police in May.

The suspect refused to drop his rifle until a Lubbock police officer drew his sidearm. In the video, a bystander is seen tackling the suspect and others from the protest assisted an officer who appeared to have been injured in the arrest, Breitbart Texas reported.

Mail-In Votes Discarded, Never Counted in Baltimore Election Due to Error

Mail-in votes in a local Baltimore, Maryland, election were discarded and not counted due to a ballot error, officials say.

On Tuesday evening, voters went to the polls in Baltimore city elections — including the race in City Council District 1 where incumbent Democrat Zeke Cohen faced a challenge from Democrat Paris Bienert.

The race, though, ended in disarray when a ballot error caused mail-in votes to be thrown out and not counted, according to the Baltimore Sun:

… the State Board of Elections said Maryland’s mail vendor SeaChange failed to correct an error in the ballot title for the council contest. State officials found the error while proofing ballots during the printing process, and requested SeaChange make the change. [Emphasis added]

“While the error was corrected in the official voting database, the error was not corrected on a portion of the ballots that were mailed to voters in District 1,” the state Board of Elections said. “Due to this inconsistency, vote by mail ballot styles for District 1 could not be counted properly.” [Emphasis added]

Both Democrat candidates complained about the election error and suggested the state needed to be more transparent about what exactly occurred that led to the mail-in votes going uncounted.

The error impacted the results of the City Council District 1 race and a Baltimore Circuit Court Judge race, state officials told the Baltimore Sun.

Other states have dealt with severe election errors in their quest to expand mail-in voting. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, state officials admitted that duplicate ballots had been mailed out to registered voters ahead of their election.

Likewise, in elections across Wisconsin, at least 30,000 mail-in votes were counted after election day and thousands of mail-in votes were thrown out due to postmark issues, missing voter signatures, and missing witness signatures.

Federal data obtained by Breitbart News has revealed about 28.4 million mail-in ballots sent to individuals on state voter rolls have gone missing since the 2012 election.

Recent data has not shown a compelling public health justification for mail-in voting. In Wisconsin’s recent election, only 52 of more than 400,000 people were confirmed to have contracted the virus after participating either as voters or poll workers, and none of those cases were fatal.

Out of the 413,000 participants, that equals an infection rate below two-hundredths of one percent.

A top Texas law enforcement official said Tuesday that evidence shows the far-left extremist group Antifa was involved in the looting of an Austin store over the weekend in the wake of nationwide protests and riots over the death of George Floyd, who recently died in police custody in Minneapolis.

“The protest and looting of Target in Austin that was done and organized by an Antifa web page and of course, the surveillance that was provided over the internet identifying where law enforcement resources were staged, was done over Antifa accounts,” Col. Steve McCraw, Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, told reporters in a press briefing.

McCraw then said, “There’s evidence of Antifa” operating in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as well, though he would not elaborate.

The official also said he is not aware of any evidence to corroborate claims that white supremacists are linked to violent unrest in the state.

McCraw then warned: “We do have special agents embedded trying to identify criminals that are leveraging these or using these as an opportunity exploiting these demonstrations, identifying them and we’ve already identified some of them and we will be arresting them, but not at this particular moment

On Sunday, Attorney General William Barr declared that violent unrest “instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly.”

“With the rioting that is occurring in many of our cities around the country, the voices of peaceful and legitimate protests have been hijacked by violent radical elements. Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate, violent, and extremist agenda,” Barr said in a statement. “It is time to stop watching the violence and to confront and stop it. The continued violence and destruction of property endangers the lives and livelihoods of others, and interferes with the rights of peaceful protestors, as well as all other citizens.”

The attorney general also warned federal law enforcement would use the offices of 56 regional FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) to track down the perpetrators of criminal activity.

Barr’s remarks came as President Donald Trump announced that the United States will be designating Antifa as a terrorist organization.

A woman in Reno, Nevada, got an unexpected delivery recently after a piece of American history went missing on Saturday.

When an American flag from the U.S.S. Reno disappeared from Reno City Hall over the weekend due to rioters breaking into the building and smashing its display case, staff members were devastated, according to News 4.

“The men of the U.S.S. Reno were credited with shooting down five enemy airplanes and assisted in the downing of at least two more at Iwo Jima,” the report said.

The flag, on loan from the Department of the Navy, was an irreplaceable piece of the nation’s history and was feared to have been destroyed by fire.

However, when News 4 Content Manager Kenzie Margiott arrived at work on Tuesday, a box with her name written on it was there waiting.

“I have an upcoming birthday, so I thought maybe a family member or friend sent a gift to the station,” she wrote.

Professors are offering assistance and support to the rioters and looters that have destroyed small businesses in major cities across the nation. One professor even encouraged rioters to target the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC for destruction.

According to a report by Campus Reform, professors at several universities and colleges are offering support and guidance to the rioters that have caused millions of dollars of damage in major cities around the nation.

Breitbart News has reported extensively on the riots that have occurred over the past week in response to the death of George Floyd, who died during an arrest in Minneapolis on May 25 after a police officer pressed his knee onto Floyd’s neck.
