>He's resisting though, but I don't know how long he can hold out.

why should he have trouble holding out. It's not his job.

Does the mayor need more cops? typically no, that's not the problem.

Does the governor need more national guard? typically no, that's not the problem.

In NY, you have a bit of finger pointing - governor vs mayor.

Can people name states or cities where resources are stretched thin? I haven't heard that. All there is is the unwillingness of Democrat mayors and governors to offend their core base of terrorists and rioters.

I don't watch Trump on tv, I don't know what his answer would be, but he could say a wide variety of things that would be quite funny "I don't know what to tell you, that city has plenty of cops and that state has plenty of national guard, and if they don't want to use them, take it up with the mayor and the governor, that's their job, and if I can't get them to open up and get back to normal, regarding covid, because they want to keep closed for some reason, I certainly don't want to drive tanks down the highway unless I have to. They have everything they need. Maybe they don't want to offend their terrorist base, maybe they need those terrorist votes to win, I don't know. We all know that these mayors and governors can put a stop to all this nonsense, the rioting and terrorism, the economy still half closed down. It's pretty obvious if you take away all the entertainment options from people in their 20s, a protest starts to look like the worst concert or the worst bar scene ever, but it might still be better than being locked indoors like the mayors and the governors want. It seems crazy to me that they think that arson is safer than church or a bar or a rock concert but that's their city and their state. I'm more worried about getting things open than forcing a state to use its national guard on the terrorists. There are various recall petitions going around in the various states, and people can try to solve the problem that way.

(If Trump fires the head of the CDC, Trump can get some normal life friendly CDC guidelines in there, or perhaps Trump can figure out some other way to get normal life friendly CDC guidelines in there. Open up the bars, concert venues, and people might choose those over rioting.

Trump is the President. Are we worried about whose side Trump is on?

Because I'm confident in our military might, our technical abilities at a state and local level.

I'm more concerned about Trump giving money to Democrats, who are going to use it to bribe someone to do something we don't like.

I'm more concerned about the reaction to the virus by the states than anything. It's like the Flu pretty much. You don't dial it up to dystopian levels because of the Flu.

Maybe Trump can push forth a constitutional amendment - right of self determination regarding vaccines. Basically, no forced vaccines. And then the states can decide whether we can be protected from forced vaccines, and from mark of the beast microchipping, Gates style.
