I'm not sure that is a good idea, anon. The police have become overly federalized, I will agree, and are no longer in the hands of the communities. Most cities are financially insolvent and need their bonds purchased - no longer beholden to the police.
The problem is not that the police have funding, but that the cities are completely bankrupt and whore their policies out to the highest bond bidder to give them the appearance of solvency.
This exacerbates all other problems that come from institutions in general.
We need to bring back the friendly neighborhood cop and the local watchmen.
And we need to get rid of most ordinance level offenses. Those are a racket.
