Here is a link to sign up for notifications of waitlists for low income housing and HUD voucher programs across the country. The lists are very long so sign up everywhere. Times are tough so every little thing helps.

For those who think this is socialism and want to dis this, I'm sorry but until we get rid of corruptionism, capitalism isn't good enough for those who are struggling and robbed by the current evil policies.

I am still working on finding a place, I've been in insufficient housing for 5 years and know how hard it is, especially on ones relationships.

With the vouchers, HUD supplements rent in any unit that meets minimum livable standards (ie a private landlord), its not all just projects based housing. But definitely there are a lot of problems and scams with some developers and I'd bet many areas. I'm not saying there are not, but I'm just putting this out there for anyone who has very low income and trying to find a safe place. I would suggest if you have evidence of a scammer for sure, report it.

I used to think Galye King was racist for promoting Black people as heros for doing normal human achievements (ie a restaurant), but maybe she is right and it really is a heroic accomplishment.
