Russian, Syrian Warplanes Strike Foreign Jihadists in Hama, Latakia

The Syrian Air Force, alongside their Russian counterparts, carried out a half dozen airstrikes over the Lattakia and Hama governorates.

According to a field source, the Syrian Air Force was responsible for the attack on the foreign jihadist positions in the key town of Kabani, while both air forces launched strikes on the northern part of the al-Ghab Plain region.

New Israeli Airstrikes Target Sensitive Military Facility In Syria’s Hama

Late on June 4, a series of Israeli airstrikes targeted a sensitive military research facility near the town of Masyaf in the western countryside of Syria’s Hama.

A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the airstrikes were launched from Lebanon’s airspace. Sources in Lebanon confirmed this and shared several videos of Israeli warplanes flying at a low altitude over Kesrouane and Beqaa.

Syrian Air Defenses confront Israeli attack on military positions in Hama

Military source declared: "Today at 21:25, the Israeli warplanes fired missiles from the Lebanese airspace towards Syrian military positions in the vicinity of Mesyaf city in Hama countryside."

Moscow condemns EU renewal of illegitimate sanctions on Syria

“Russia is disappointed because the European Union, like the US, has deliberately renewed the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria” Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova said during a press conference.

She added that Moscow noted so many times that those measures don’t only affect the Syrian economy, but they also prevent the Syrian people from getting the essential medicines, medical equipment and humanitarian items.

Assad Government Freezes 6 Money Transfer Companies as Pound Collapses

The authority published a statement halting the following companies: Irsal, Hafez, Faraoun, Shamna, Arak and Mas, due to their violations of decrees regarding their work. The companies were also threatened with the cancellation of their licenses.

According to the latest decree, the six companies will not be permitted to provide money transfer services in any of their branches, as well as receive or deliver any transfers, starting from Tuesday and lasting until they are notified that they can resume work. Violations of the decree could result in the cancellation of their licenses.

Jihadi Paradise: HTS & Horas Al-Din Are Heading To New Confrontation In Greater Idlib

HTS held Horas al-Din’s tax-collector in a Sharia court in the city of Jisr al-Shughur. Horas al-Din responded by storming the court and freeing its member by force.

“The region is now witnessing a military alert, both sides are deploying military reinforcements, which warn of clashes between the two organizations,” the Rumaf Agency citied local sources as saying.

In the last few months, HTS and Horas al-Din were engaged in several incidents. However, non of them developed into a full-scale confrontation.

SDF Security Forces Clash With Hundreds Of Protesters In Southern Al-Hasakah

On June 4, hundreds of civilians took to the street in the town of al-Shaddadi in the southern al-Hasakah countryside to protest against poor living conditions in the area.

According to Zaman Alwsl, a pro-opposition outlet, around 300 protesters blocked all roads inside al-Shaddadi and called on the self-administration in northern and northeast Syria to provide bread, fuel, gas and electricity. Furthermore, the protesters stoned the town’s civil council building and chanted “where is the oil money?”

Jaysh al-Izza Trains Its New Recruits Next To Refugee Camps In Greater Idlib

Jaysh al-Izza, one of the remaining armed factions in Greater Idlib, announced on May 31 that a new batch of its special forces has completed training.

The group released a video on June 2 showing the training of its new special forces personnel. In the video, 28 fighters can be seen training with live ammo and battle tanks in a military camp located right beside refugees’ tents in northern Idlib.

Gretchen Whitmer Violates Own Social Distancing Order During Protest, Chants ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’

On Thursday morning, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer told protesters to wear a mask and stay six feet apart. Later in the day, she appeared to violate her own rules.

“I encourage everyone who is protesting, if you are out demonstrating or out congregating at all, please wear a mask and please try to stay six feet away from others,” she said on Mojo In The Morning.

Whitmer, who is angling to be Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate, participated in a protest in downtown Detroit over the death of George Floyd.

She marched along as the closely packed large group chanted, “Hands up, don’t shoot,” and “This is what democracy looks like.”

Whitmer, wearing a cloth mask, was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Bishop Charles Ellis and Lt. Gov. Garland Gilchrist.

Donald Trump: Radical Left Wants to ‘Defund the Police’

President Donald Trump on Thursday reacted to the new slogan pushed by the left, demanding that state and local governments defund the police.

“The Radical Left Democrats new theme is ‘Defund the Police,’ Trump wrote on Twitter. “Remember that when you don’t want Crime, especially against you and your family.”

The president accused former Vice President Joe Biden of moving in the direction of the most radical elements of his party.

“This is where Sleepy Joe is being dragged by the socialists,” he wrote. “I am the complete opposite, more money for Law Enforcement!”

Trump commented after one of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s aides echoed the slogan on Twitter.

That prompted Republican mockery on Twitter.

“I can’t believe I have to say this, but do NOT defund the police,” White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany wrote on Twitter.

Jeremiah Ellison, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison's son: 'We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department'

Jeremiah Ellison, a Minneapolis city councilman and son of state Attorney General Keith Ellison, is calling for the "dismantling" of the Minneapolis Police Department following days of nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd.

"We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department," Jeremiah Ellison tweeted Thursday. "And when we’re done, we’re not simply gonna glue it back together. We are going to dramatically rethink how we approach public safety and emergency response. It’s really past due."

Floyd died May 25 while in police custody during an arrest. A video of a Minneapolis police officer kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes has unleashed calls to address criminal justice reform and police brutality, as well as civil unrest, in several cities across the country.

Many protesters have also called for lawmakers to stop increasing funds to police departments and enact legislation to hold officers accountable.

Jeremiah Ellison posted his remarks in response to a user asking if any elected officials were brave enough to take on the police in their city or state. Days after Floyd's death, he tweeted in support of Antifa, an anti-fascist movement comprised of loose-knit groups that have drawn criticism for physical violence against far-right supporters and figures.

"I hereby declare, officially, my support for ANTIFA," Jeremiah Ellison tweeted May 31. "Unless someone can prove to me ANTIFA is behind the burning of black and immigrant-owned businesses in my ward, I’ll keep focusing on stopping the white power terrorist THE ARE ACTUALLY ATTACKING US!"

On Wednesday, Keith Ellison's office upgraded the charges against the officer seen pinning his knee on Floyd's neck to second-degree murder and charged the other three officers involved Thomas Lane, J.A. Kueng and Tou Thao each with two counts of aiding and abetting and second-degree murder.
